Easy Slow Cooked Butter Chicken

You will need:

  1. Chicken breast: 4 (cut them into small pieces)
  2. Small sweet onion: 1 (diced)
  3. Coconut oil: 1 tbsp.
  4. Unsalted butter: 2 tbsp. (melted)
  5. Garlic cloves: 4 (minced)
  6. Tomato paste: ½ cup
  7. Canned coconut milk: 1 ¼ cup
  8. Greek yogurt: ½ cup (plain)
  9. Curry powder: 2 tbsp.
  10. Garam masala: ½ tbsp.
  11. Tandoori spice mix: 1 tbsp.
  12. Salt and pepper
  13. Cilantro


  1. Add the onions and chicken to the slow cooker.
  2. Take a bowl and combine all the remaining ingredients together. Mix them well.
  3. Now pour this sauce into the slow cooker over the chicken and onions.
  4. Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  5. Cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is completely cooked.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve it with steamed rice.
