3 common health issues in dogs

The fur ball is your best friend, isn’t he? He gives you love and attention like no other. But do you realize when he needs attention? Dogs suffer from ailments too and some major ones are surprisingly common. Let’s help you identify them:

  1. Periodontal disease: Most dogs over the age of 3 have tooth disease. The same holds true for cats. So if you realize that your baby has visible buildup, inflamed gums, and bad breath, he needs to go to the vet.
  2. Ear infection: Canines very commonly have ear infections due to fungus, mites, and allergies. Frequent shaking of the head, redness and/or discharge from his ears, bad smell, and pain may point to an ear infection that needs to be taken care of immediately.
  3. Obesity: Yes, obesity is quite common in dogs! If your dog is visibly overweight and if you are unable to feel his ribs at all, he is obese and needs to get onto a strict, healthy diet plan.
